At its heart, the Food Bank Growers is simply about volunteers sharing abundance. But that does not happen in a vacuum. Originally incorporated in 2013 as Foodbank Farm and Gardens, today it’s grown to include growers, gatherers, preservers, cooks, and food bank workers.

Introducing one of our January Beans for Bags recipients – Bayside Housing & Services, with the mission of serving people experiencing homelessness in Jefferson County by providing transitional housing and meals, with individualized, trauma-informed case management support.

This recipe is a delightful, bright, creamy soup that’ll quickly become a family favorite.

You may have noticed that the past few weeks have been a bit touch and go as far as our egg supply for both bulk and packaged options.  We are doing our best to try to keep things stocked for you but are facing a variety of challenges both locally and regionally.

As we wrap up the year with reflection and a look forward, we want to recognize the people—our dedicated members, our Board of Directors, and our talented staff—who have made our 50 years of cooperative business possible. Thank you all for all you do. Here's to the next 50 years of cooperation!
