The Food Co-op is seeking a Food Services Manager to join the Food Services Team bunch! We’re looking for reliable, flexible team members, and we encourage you to apply!
THE FOOD SERVICES MANAGER
Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the Food Service Manager contributes to team and store goals for sales, margin, and productivity by overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Food Services Department. This position is responsible for achieving positive financial operating results, ensuring excellent customer service and offering top quality foods consistent with the Food Co-op values and mission.
Minimum Requirements:Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA and/or Certified Food Protected Manager or acquire within 2 weeks of hire. Associate degree or equivalent experience. 2-5 years of food service, commercial kitchen, grocery or deli management. Experience budgeting, ordering, planning, and scheduling. 1-3 years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in preparing natural foods, whole foods or organic foods strongly preferred. Experience working successfully at our Co-op strongly preferred. Supervisory experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.

PRODUCE STOCKER The Produce Stocker provides friendly, knowledgeable customer service to shoppers. Receives, unpacks and stocks products and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the store. This position contributes to team and store goals for sales, margin, and productivity.
Minimum Requirements for this position: Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire. Knowledge of basic math skills. Knowledge of or interest in natural produce.
Preferred qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 6 months relevant experience in a customer focused position and/or in retail stocking/receiving. Natural or organic produce experience strongly preferred.

Keeps the hot bar/salad bar, deli cases, grab-and-go cases, and deli areas well merchandised, clean and welcoming.
Minimum Requirements: Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA or the ability to acquire one within two weeks of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of successful, relevant experience in a kitchen, restaurant, deli, grocery, retail environment, commercial food preparation, or related field. Customer service experience and experience operating commercial kitchen equipment. Previous natural foods experience is helpful.

Minimum Requirements for position: HS diploma or equivalent; Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire; 6 months relevant experience in retail, customer service focused position.
Preferred Qualifications: cashiering experience; Previous natural foods or produce experience helpful.

The Food Co-op is seeking a Part-Time Meat and Seafood Preparer to join the Meat & Seafood bunch!
We’re looking for reliable, flexible team-members, and we encourage you to apply!
THE MEAT AND SEAFOOD PREPARER provides friendly, knowledgeable customer service to shoppers. Receives, unpacks and stocks meat, poultry and seafood products and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the store. This position contributes to team and store goals for sales, margin, and productivity by providing service and ensuring the fresh and bulk frozen meat displays stocked and well maintained. Responsible for re-ordering, receiving, packaging and pricing products.
Minimum Requirements include: HS diploma or equivalent, experience may be substituted for education on a year to year basis. Valid Food Worker Card issued in WA, or acquire within 2 weeks of hire
Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating commercial meat slicers or grinders strongly preferred. 6 or more months of relevant experience in customer focused position strongly preferred. 1 year of successful relevant experience in commercial food preparation or related field preferred. Natural and/or organic foods experience helpful.
$19.50-28.47/hour DOE/DOQ
