GM Update: Introducing New & Improved COOP2GO

With the onset of COVID-19 and ‘stay home ‘stay safe’ edicts, we jumped into offering a curbside shopping service for our customers. It was a pretty simple system in that you wrote out your shopping list—as best you could, and then we went out and shopped for you, the best we could. It worked. But we wanted it to work even better. Now, many weeks and many hours of work later we are ready to launch the new and improved COOP2Go!

Beginning October 13th when you visit our website and click on the COOP2Go banner you will be directed to our new online shopping platform, still called COOP2Go. But before I launch into the many positive attributes this shopping service offers, I do want to add some caveats. We’re still in the process of populating all the photos that go with all the items, something like 10,000 items so far (no flowers—not yet!), fortunately even if there is no photo you can still order that item if you wish. And after the photos are online, we’ll continue our work by adding the nutritional facts—at least those that are available to us. So, please- be prepared to be patient with us as we navigate this new service with you and please- bear in mind that just like any other new service there will be a few challenges along the way and know that we have a team working hard behind the scenes to manage and improve them as we go along. OK, thanks for listening!

Now that’s out of the way, our new Coop2Go ordering platform is more closely aligned to all the products you can find in our store, from bulk beans to Allafia Bolga Baskets. And when you create an account it actually ties into your member number and will pull up all the items you have bought in the past 90 days—which is pretty groovy especially if you tend to buy the same items over and over again like I do. And it makes it easy to order those items again and again. Looking for something new or different? You can order that as well. It’s super easy to search for all the different flavors of ice cream we carry and pick something new to try. You can sort by ‘local’ or ‘co+op basics’. You can sort by Certified Organic or Gluten Free. You can sort produce by ‘most popular’ and find out what others are buying (hint: bananas, avocado and corn are in the top 3). We have hand crafted a list of “Frequently Asked Questions” , also known as FAQ’s and encourage you to use those as a resource before contacting us. Overall, the new and improved COOP2GO is pretty darn cool and I’m pretty darn excited!

Regardless of whether you show up in person or choose our online option-- thanks again for shopping at your favorite local grocery store, The Food Co-op!

With care & appreciation,

Kenna
