Good Food, Safe Shelter, Stronger Community
Sept/Oct Beans for Bags helps nurture neighbors at Bayside Housing & Services
Bayside Housing & Services supports people experiencing homelessness in Jefferson County with safe housing and trauma-informed case management. Participants work toward stability by improving health, accessing services, strengthening income, and building life skills, with the goal of securing permanent housing of their own. Bayside also operates the Jefferson County Emergency Shelter and JCMASH Free Clinic.
New in 2026 (which is also Bayside’s 10th Anniversary year): a formal partnership with Discovery Behavioral Healthcare that has transformed Bayside’s case management; and breaking ground on Vince’s Village, a 32-unit affordable housing complex in Port Townsend.
Funds raised via the Port Townsend Food Co-op will be committed to covering the expense of the hot, three-course meals provided to people who use the emergency night-by-night shelter. Thank you for nourishing the bodies and spirits of the most vulnerable members of the community we share.
