CO-OP COMMUNITY SUPPORT

With so much information about what's wrong with the world, it's nice to be able to report on the good deeds of The Food Co-op. We have received loads of thanks for the thousands of dollars donated back into the community, monies donated through the pass-through collections at the register, and some made through the annual budget process. Local services are helped through food donations as well as monetary contributions to sustain our strong and viable community.

Next time you wonder where those dollars you pay at the register are going, remember the large number of community services benefitting from your purchases. In 2008, over $7,000 was donated to 63 non-profit organizations, and $6,856.65 was donated thruogh the Beans for Bags program.  That's more than $14,000 total Co-op community donations in 2008. We're all making a difference!
