CAREERS AT THE FOOD CO-OP

About The Food Co-op
Established in 1972, the Food Co-op is a community owned cooperative which provides over 20,000 products that contribute to our consumers' well-being and the Earth's well-being.   We provide a link to a vibrant network of locally produced products and local family farms.   As an environmentally and socially aware business, the Co-op contributes to a strong, local effort for sustainability.  The Co-op is also a community resource for information and education on cooperatives, food and healthy living.   We are open to all.  We offer affordable organic foods to everyone - everyday, with sales topping 8 million annually.

When asked why he started working at The Food Co-op, Dan replied, I have always liked co-ops because of the sense of connection to the community. It's a chance to provide products people need and educate the community about organics, sustainability, and co-operative principles. What does he like about working here? He says: I like the people I work with. Everybody is doing their part to help the Coop grow and prosper. There are opportunities to take on different tasks and learn new things. The Co-op is kind of like a family. Sometimes that's good...and sometimes not so good.
